Mike Alexander
Executive Vice President
Mike has over 10 years of experience covering various aspects of investments, development, acquisitions, and asset management across mixed-use, residential, and commercial projects. During his career, Mike has been involved with over $1.5 billion in development projects primarily focused on mixed-use projects in the Washington, DC, region. Since joining River Falls, his primary focus is on investments and development, but he also works on asset management and financing of River Falls’ existing portfolio of assets. In addition, Mike works on the pursuit and evaluation of new investment and development opportunities.
Prior to River Falls, Mike was Asset Manager at Jefferson Apartment Group and Director in the Capital Assets and Financial Management Group at Virginia Tech. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Real Estate Development from Georgetown University. Mike is an Advisory Board Member for Virginia Tech’s Blackwood Department of Real Estate and active member of the NAIOP.
Stephen Silver
Chief Financial Officer
Steve Silver has more than 30 years of experience focusing on financial modeling and business development strategies for real estate, asset management, and affordable mortgage lending products. Since joining River Falls in 2015, Steve provides asset and property management oversight to Lantian’s existing investments and has supported the development and ongoing revenue generation for River Falls’ existing properties and new acquisitions.
Previously, Steve was the Chief Financial Officer for the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. In this capacity, his responsibilities included the overall financial management and strategic planning for a diverse state housing finance agency that raised more than $1 billion in capital annually. Steve’s career has included a broad array of financial and accounting work with both private and public entities. He is a CPA with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Towson University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Baltimore.
Bob Elliott
Chief Executive Officer
Over the course of his career, Bob has managed many noteworthy development projects, including the 1.35 million rentable square foot U.S. Department of Transportation Headquarters, the 800,000 square foot mixed-use redevelopment of L’Enfant Plaza, and the renovation of two significant office towers, 500 North Capitol Street, NW and Silverline Center in Tysons. In addition, Bob has overseen many large mixed-use masterplan projects, including 4 acres in NoMa and 150 acres of mixed-use multifamily and retail redevelopment in Alexandria.
Prior to joining River Falls, Bob led the development platforms at Washington REIT and Clark Enterprises, where he oversaw the acquisition, development, and repositioning of their extensive real estate portfolios. He was also previously one of several development officers for The JBG Companies (now JBGSmith). Before JBG, Bob served on the management teams of two London-based real estate startups and worked in real estate investment banking. He started his career as an architect with Murphy/Jahn Architects (now JAHN).
Bob has a Master of Business Administration degree in both Finance and Real Estate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, plus a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University. Bob previously served on the boards of several charitable and arts organizations and several business improvement districts. He currently sits on the Board for VisArts in Rockville.
